Good for the planet. Great for your wallet. The Mirko Cup Set – Clear is a great alternative to traditional pads and tampons. This kit includes the following items: 1 menstrual cup, 1 breathable pouch, 1 sterilizer cup, and a QR code for a detailed manual. It has safety clearances from US-FDA, SGS, and SVHC tests and an ISO 13845 certification, so you can assure that you’re getting a top-quality and body-safe product. The menstrual cup can hold 4x the capacity of your regular tampon or pad, so you can keep it longer than tampons or pads. So go ahead and make the switch with this premium set!
Got this period cup set? Awesome! We’re here to help you get started. Make sure your hands and menstrual cup are clean. Go to the bathroom. Get in a comfortable position; the most popular positions for period cup insertion are squatting and sitting with your legs spread open. Once positioned, fold your cup to ensure seamless insertion. You can try several folds, with the most popular ones being the c-fold and punch-down fold; you can check the included user manual or online guides for more deets.
With your free hand, part your labia/vaginal lips. While your cup is folded, insert its rim first into your vagina at around a 45-degree angle, aiming it towards the base of your spine. Slowly push your cup in until you can no longer see the end of the stem or reach an end, then release. Make sure to trace your finger around the cup’s base to check if it’s fully open. If you feel any dents or folds, gently grip the cup’s base and slowly rotate it; this will help it unfold.
Congrats, you’ve successfully inserted the menstrual cup! Wear your period cup for a maximum of 10-12 hours if you have a regular flow. If you have a heavier flow, you may need to shorten the interval and empty it more than twice a day. Mirko’s small menstrual cup can generally hold 4x the capacity of your regular tampon or pad.
As for removal, reach for the base and pinch. After pinching, the cup’s suction seal should break inside your vaginal canal. Fold the cup to a smaller size and slowly pull it out.
Make sure to give a quick wash of the cup every time you remove it and before reinsertion. Use mild, unscented oil-free soap or water to clean your cup. Once you’re done with the cycle, you need to sterilize your cup before storing it. You can submerge the menstrual cup in boiling water or use the sterilizer cup; put the menstrual cup inside the Mirko Sterilizer cup with water and place the lid lightly on the top (DO NOT completely seal the lid). Microwave the cup for 1-2 minutes to disinfect. We recommend repeating the process in between cycles. Please check the included manual for more information.
